Rashmika Mandanna starrer new Telugu movie The Girlfriend opened to rave response from the audiences and did a decent biz at the box office.

Directed by Rahul Ravindran, The Girlfriend also stars Dheekshith Shetty in the lead role and is about a woman who goes through love, compatibility and self-discovery.

With The Girlfriend, Rashmika Deliverers 5 Acclaimed Movies In Less Than 2025

The Girlfriend received rave reviews from the audiences and has made close to Rs 7 crore in its opening weekend.

The movie is now expected to see fair hold on weekdays considering the solid critical acclaim it has received.

With The Girlfriend, Rashmika Mandanna has become the star of 2025 delivering five acclaimed movies in less than 11 months.

In fact, in these 11 months, Rashmika starred in six movies out of which five generated good reviews and decent to blockbuster box office.

The one that failed both critically and commercially was Salman Khan starrer Sikandar.

Barring that, Rashmika starred in Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule in December 2024 which was a critical and commercial success. It is currently the third biggest grosser of Indian cinema and the top grosser in Hindi.

It is followed by Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna starrer Chhaava in February 2025 which is currently the top Bollywood grosser of the year and is among the top five grossers of Hindi cinema.

She then starred in Kuberaa co-starring Dhanush and Nagarjuna which received solid reviews and Rashmika was praised for her performance.

Months later, on Diwali 2025, Rashmika played a vampire in Thamma co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

And now The Girlfriend in November rests entirely on her shoulders and has become a big critical success.

After The Girlfriend, Rashmika will next be seen in Telugu action movie Mysaa followed by Bollywood rom-com Cocktail co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
