Miami gears up for first US E1 race as Tom Brady, Rafael Nadal and LeBron James bring electric boats to American waters

The world’s first all-electric raceboat series, the E1 Championship , is coming to the United States for the first time. The big season finale will take place at the Miami Seaplane Base , where the high-speed electric boats called RaceBirds will race across the water and “fly” above the waves.

The E1 Series mixes racing, clean technology, and big entertainment. With stars from sports and music owning teams, it’s one of the most exciting new global races. The Miami Grand Prix will decide the 2025 world champion after six thrilling rounds held across three continents.

For fans, Cirque du Soleil will perform an exclusive water show during race weekend. Official ticket partner TIXR is offering special VIP passes where guests can enjoy food, music, and the closest race views near the bay.

Tennis star Rafael Nadal’s team is chasing Team Brady, just three points behind in the overall standings. The top four teams are split by only 20 points, setting up a tense, winner-takes-all finale.

Each E1 team includes one male and one female pilot, making it one of the few racing leagues where men and women compete equally. North American racers Sara Price, Rusty Wyatt, and John Peeters will represent the region in this final round.
